It’s been a long week and a half or so for those of us here at TLOS, what with some of us being in the WBCN Rumble and all sorts of other music/film/work/responsibilities to deal with. Which would explain our nearly week long absence from posting. We’re still working the whole balance thing out, and hope to have a few “rainy day” posts set to go for when we get this busy again (heck, Van Hammersly is in the Emerald Isle right now, probably enjoying a Guinness or Murphy’s, that lucky bastard. But he and I did lose our round for the rumble, which is good for you, the reader who actually reads this, cuz it means we’ll have more time to post inanities).
So until I can put my brain back together for a longer, more focused post, I will spend the day posting various links to some of Those Songs: you know, the ones that bring you back to your childhood instantly, but then you pretty much forget about til years and years later.
Like this incredibly sad tale from Clarence Carter:
(it’s apparently am lite day here)
nothing feels more like summer in the 70s than Seals & Crofts
